The American College of Medication Management (ACMM), a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation has been established to promote the advancement of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) for licensed pharmacists in the United States. The ACMM’s purpose is to improve patient outcomes by advancing the safe and effective use of medications. ACMM’s approach to fulfilling its goal is to do so through the development and implementation of a series of programs designed to help pharmacists advance their management skills through the safe and effective use of medications.
ACMM Programs

Membership
ACMM’s membership program will offer MTM practitioners opportunities to collaborate with their colleagues who have similar interests in the medication therapy management field.

Education and Training
ACMM to offer initial exam preparation and training for the NBMTM certification programs, and continuing education training/courses to meet NBMTM recertification requirements. In addition, it is anticipated that ACMM will support efforts in the development and implementation of publications for pharmacists to help advance their management skills related to the safe and effective use of medications.

Annual Meeting/Seminars/Workshops
The ACMM will be working toward conducting an ACMM Annual Meeting which would help support the presentation of educational seminars/workshops on MTM-related topics.

Scholarships and Grants
It is ACMM’s intention to solicit funding to support the development and implementation of its programs through donations and grant writing. It is also the intent to offer scholarships to licensed pharmacists who wish to expand their careers to include specialty practice in MTM.
